Our Story

Paul and Tom became close friends through their shared passion for paramotoring. Together, they’ve travelled abroad for countless free-flight adventures, including an intensive SIV course, a demanding paragliding program that pushes pilots to their limits by simulating real-world collapses and high-stress, fight-or-flight scenarios.
While standing atop Mount BabadaÄŸ, nervously preparing to launch and perform collapse simulations over the sea, Paul had a realisation: these moments, managing fear, staying focused, and overcoming extreme pressure mirrored some of the most challenging aspects of operational service life, but in a healthy, constructive way. It was a form of fear management, resilience training, and confidence building unlike anything else. Paramotoring and Paragliding are also sports that inspire cohesion and community spirit.
Tom agreed. Right there on that mountain, the idea for Resurgence Air Sports was born, a way to bring the transformative power of air sports to veterans, helping them rediscover confidence, purpose, and camaraderie through adventure.
Meet The Team

Area Manager & Liaison Officer – South East.

Pete served in the British Army on operations worldwide with 4th Battalion, The Rifles (now 4 RANGER). During a 2009 tour, he operated as a Vallon man, moving ahead of patrols to detect improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and was commended for the high number of IEDs he located. Pete is held in high regard by all who know him.
Pete was Resurgence Air Sports’ first candidate, and after training with Launch-it Paramotoring in Somerset in 2024, he has quickly become a skilled and proficient paramotor pilot. We are proud to have Pete as part of our team.
